Kingston College and Harbour View midfielder Fabian Grant has been called into the Jamaican squad for next week's friendly international against Honduras at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Grant, who starred for the 'Purples' in last year's Manning Cup and helped his school to the Walker Cup title, while scoring a spectacular strike from 20 yards in the final, gets his first call to the national senior squad. He joins another schoolboy, Cornwall College and Montego Bay United's striker Jourdaine Fletcher, in the squad.

Recalled to the squad is Andre Lewis, a former St George's standout, who won the Manning Cup and Oliver Shield titles in 2012. Lewis, who plays for the Portland Timbers in the American Major League Soccer, was a key member of the national Under-17 World Cup team that qualified for the World Youth tournament in 2011. He also went on to play for the national under-20s and under-23s. At club level, Lewis has also played for Portmore United locally, and for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Charleston Battery in the US.

Lewis takes the place of Real Salt Lake midfielder Omar Holness in the squad while Grant replaces Lewis's Timbers teammate Alvas Powell.

The rest of the squad reads: Romario Williams, Cory Burke, Je-Vaughn Watson, Kemar Lawrence, Sergio Campbell, Damion Lowe, Oneil Fisher, Andre Blake (GK), Ryan Thompson (GK), Owayne Gordon, Kevon Lambert, Dwayne Ambusley, Ladale Ritchie, Shamar Nicholson, Michael Binns, Ewan Grandison and Rosario Harriot.
