Jamaica to play Windward Islands in Under-19 one day opener
Four-day runners-up Jamaica will start their West Indies Under-19 One-Day cricket tournament campaign against the Windward Islands at Conaree today. The Jamaicans finished second in the four-day championships with 58.6 points after five rounds of action.
Guyana topped the championship table with 68.9 points and will open their one-day campaign today against ICC Americas at Verchilds.
The other game will see the Leeward Islands playing ghost to Trinidad and Tobago at Molyneaux.
The other team in the tournament, Barbados, will get a bye for the first round. The second round will be played on Thursday, with matches being played every other day until the competition ends on August 28.
After five rounds of competition, Barbado was third in the four-day competition with 50.8 points. Trinidad and Tobago, the Leeward Islands, and the Windward Islands finished the competition in fourth, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.
