I have to keep working hard - Bailey
Jamaican striker Leon Bailey says he is working hard as he continued his hot form with Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga with another impressive performance on the weekend.
The 20-year-old attacker was again the star of the show, after putting in a man-of-the-match performance to help his team to a 2-2 draw with RB Leipzig on Saturday, as they extended their unbeaten run to seven games.
With 44 minutes played Bailey popped up in the box to score his fourth goal of the campaign - his fifth in all competitions with teammate Kevin Volland securing the draw after Bayer twice went behind from Leipzig penalties.
"I am working hard every day. On match days I need to show my strengths and just keep developing as a young individual," Bailey was quoted afterwards.
The striker has now had a hand in a Leverkusen goal every 115 minutes with two assists also underlining his impact so far this season.
Bailey is yet to represent Jamaica's Reggae Boyz due to an ongoing difference between the Jamaica Football Federation and his father Craig Butler, who also acts as his manager.
