There appears to be a consensus among coaches in western Jamaica that a Brazilian will walk away from the 2018 wWorld Cup with the Golden Boot award. No Brazilian has won the award since 2002 when Ronaldo emerged the league's top marksman. Since then, Miroslav Klose (Germany, 2006), Thomas Muller (Germany, 2010) and James Rodriguez (Colombia, 2014) have won the award.

Here are the views of the region's top coaches about who will be the top shooter in Russia.

Dr Dean Weatherly

Coach of Cornwall College DaCosta Cup team (2016 Champions) and Falmouth United.

World Cup team: Brazil

Player to win Golden Boot: Philippe Coutinho

Reason: "They will be focused on Neymar that's why he might not get many goals but certainly a lot of assists."

Aaron Lawrence

Coach of Sandals South Coact SC and National Under-15 team.

World Cup teams: Brazil and Spain

Player to win Golden Boot: Neymar Jr

Reason: "He has a lot of quality to finish and he is technically sound. I watched him score a goal yesterday (against Austria) and have to wonder.

Omar 'Rambo' Wedderburn

Coach of St Elizabeth Technical High School daCosta Cup team.

World Cup team: Brazil

Player to win Golden Boot: Neymar Jr

Reason: "I think Neymar has more to prove than even Messi this World Cup. Last time around, his World Cup was cut short so it's only one way to prove something out of the World Cup. If he can't win the World Cup, which I would love, at least the Golden Boot.

Vassell Reynolds

Coach of Rusea's High School daCosta Cup team (2017 Champions).

World Cup team: Argentina

Player to win Golden Boot: Neymar Jr

Reason: "Based on how the Brazil team set up I can't see Neymar not scoring some goals. I know he's just coming back to full fitness and when the pressure takes its toll you never know. However, he looks to be finding back his best form.
