Dujon commits to Westmoreland football

June 19, 2018

Dujon Construction Ltd has committed its support to the Westmoreland Major League.

"Over the years growing up in Westmoreland, as a son of the soil, we always have a competition in football going on so to see a year go by without something like this would be heart-wrenching," Dujon Construction's principal, Deon Dujon, said.

"This is something I have discussed among the Dujon family so as long as we are able, we will be contributing towards it," he added.

Dujon was speaking after Wedneday's final Dujon Construction Ltd Westmoreland FA Major League competition, which took place at the Llandillo playing field in the parish.

Delveland United beat Golden Touch FC 1-0 in extra-time, courtesy of a strike from Opal Evans, to lift the title. The win also saw Delveland advancing to next season's Charley's J.B. Rum/Western Confederation Super League Football competition.

Andre Palmer, coach of Delveland, said that he is looking forward to next season in the nation's second-tier competition.
