Jamaica finish second at 2019 World Relays - End on 27 points, USA win with 54 points

Despite a few poor executions and missed opportunities, Jamaica finished second in the overall points standings at the 2019 World Relays in Yokohama, Japan, with 27 points. Winners USA earned 54 points.

Hosts Japan also finished with 27 points, but were awarded third place.

Jamaica finished second in the men’s 4x400m in a season’s best 3:01.57 and the women’s 4x100m and were third in the womens’ 4x200m in 1:33.21. The women’s 4x400m were fifth in a season’s best 3:28.30 and sixth in the men’s 4x100 m in 38.88. The USA won five races, finished second in two, and were disqualified from a further two events.

The top 10 were completed by Germany(18), Poland (17), Brazil (16), China (15), Italy (15), France (13), and Great Britain (13).
