Mom caused my pregnancy
I read your column every day. When I was 16 years old, I was so naive. A boy in my district and I were friends and one day I was alone at home and he came and was chatting me up. He asked me for sex. I told him no because he will get me pregnant. He told me if we were going to have sex for the first time, I could not get pregnant.
Pastor, I believed him. We had sex that day and the following month I did not see my period. It went on to the other month and my older sister asked me how come she was not seeing any signs that I am seeing my period. I told her that I don't know. She said I looked different. She told my mother that something was wrong with me. They took me to the doctor and the doctor questioned me and told me that I was three months pregnant.
I explained to my mother what happened and then my father went to see the boy. He said he was not responsible for getting me pregnant. I blame my mother because she never explained to us anything about sex. After I got my baby, I went back to evening school. I met a man twice my age and he helped me.
Pastor, keep up the good work. You are helping many young girls.
Some guys will tell girls anything to get under their skirts. This was a simple lie this man told, but it was amazing that you didn't know that it was a lie. You were very naive. I am glad that this older man loved you and has taken care of you, and I wish both of you the very best in life.
