He left my mom and took the furniture

Thieves packed the nurse's furniture on to a truck during the robbery.

Dear Pastor,

I am 17 years old and I am having a problem. My mother is 38 years old. My mother had a boyfriend, and both of them had an argument over me. I don't know what my mother said to him, but he told her that he is going to leave because he could not take her jealousy.

My mother is a teacher, and she is very strict. One day when I came home from school, I saw that this man moved out everything that he had bought and put in the house. He could not move the stove because it was my mother who bought that, but he took the bed they were sleeping on. My mother bought the bed I was sleeping on, so she and I are sleeping on that bed now.

I swear to you, Pastor, I don't want any man to buy anything for me when I get a man. I want to buy everything for myself so that no man can take away anything from me if we break up.

Anyway, Pastor, keep up the good work.

Dear T.S.,

Perhaps your mother saw that this man was showing interest in you, so she spoke to him about it. You said that you don't know what they were fussing about, but he accused her of jealousy. I am glad that the man could not have taken away everything from the house. He did not leave your mother totally on the floor. She could pick up the pieces and bounce back, so to speak.

The lesson you can learn from this is to never totally depend on a man. Try your best to get an education so that you can support yourself. I wish you well. Make sure you do well in school.
