Praying for woman with STI
I write in regards to the letter published on October 22, 2019, titled 'Man who took my virginity gave me an STI'.
My heart goes out to that young woman and I am praying for her. I was in a similar situation. I had failed God miserably and suffered dire consequences.
Oh, the guilt, shame and remorse that assail me every day. I repented and experienced God's mercy, love and forgiveness.
If only she realises how God loves and cares for her. He is waiting with arms open wide. He still has a great plan for her life. I am praying for that young woman.
I hope she finds it in her heart to forgive, get rid of all the revenge and bitterness, and seek the peace that only Jesus can give.
I would encourage you to continue to pray for this woman. She should follow the advice of her doctor. No one should condemn her for what has happened to her.
But her experience should help other women to be very careful and not to believe what men may tell them because, generally, men are liars.
Men get angry with me when I state that fact, but it is true. Some men would lie to women and even cry, but their main aim is to get that woman to believe that they are in love with her and to have consensual sex.
And even if they use the condom the first time, during the act, they find ways of taking off the condom and continue the sexual act without it.
I say again, continue to pray for this young woman. It is not going to be easy for her, but the Good Lord is able to strengthen her and to give her peace of mind. Thank you for your concern. I am glad that you have found solace in the Lord after being raped.
