My Jamaican man is the best
This is the first time that I am writing to you, but I read your column every day. I am in my 30s. I am not Jamaican, but I married a Jamaican man. I have been enjoying my married life. But my husband is on the wild side. I cannot say that I have caught him with another woman, but I always have to be watching him. No girl can give him more than what I have to give him. I treat him right. My friends tell me that I am very lucky to have such a man. He helps me with the two children, he cleans and he cooks. He does not like to eat out, so he is always cooking his favourite Jamaican dishes.
When I first met my husband, we went to a hotel and we spent all night making love. We even put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. We did not even have breakfast. For the first time, a man told me 'Thank you' after making love to him. So I asked him 'For what?' and he said 'What you gave to me can keep me for a week'.
As I said, I don't have any proof that my husband is cheating. But if he is, I am not leaving him. Nobody is going to get my man. I have had boyfriends who only wanted my money, but my husband wants my body and my soul. I want to have another child, but my husband is not interested. He says that two children are enough. I am bigging up my Jamaican husband. I was warned that Jamaican men are no good. But my husband has proven them to be wrong. He reads your column every day, so he will be happy to see what I have said about him. Big up honey.
Dear Happy Wife,
I am glad that you have a good husband. Whether a man is Jamaican or American or from another country, he can learn to take care of his woman. Your husband is quite happy with you, so he is not prepared to 'run road'. Nothing is wrong in going out for dinner occasionally. But in these days when the cost of living is so high, it is unwise to eat out very often. So you are fortunate to have a man who loves to cook.
You are always watching your husband because of what people told you about Jamaican men. Don't worry yourself. Take care of your man and I trust he will continue to take care of you. All the best to both of you.
