BEENIE MAN, DUBBED 'The Doctor', is currently under special care from doctors of a different kind.
Beenie is reportedly in stable condition at a private medical facility in Kingston, after being transfered there from the Spanish Town Hospital following his accident on the Mandela Highway early yesterday morning.
His manager, Patrick Roberts, told THE STAR yesterday that Beenie Man was conscious but badly bruised and shaken up.
"He is talking now. I just spoke to him a few minutes before this. I left him conscious but he says he is feeling a lot of pain," Roberts said. "Some specialists are there doing some special tests on him to see if he has any further injuries."
The entertainment fraternity was rocked early yesterday morning when news broke that Beenie Man's Hummer 2 motor truck overturned along the Mandela highway at minutes to 4 a.m. Hours after the crash, several entertainers showed up at the Spanish Town Hospital to give their support for the popular entertainer.
He was later transfered to the private facility, where he remains now. "He has several outside cuts and scratches. he has a long cut over his right eye and a cut between his chin and lower lip, a cut on the upper lip and a scar on the nose," explained Roberts. "Apart from that he has a punctured lung and two fractured ribs.
For now, Roberts added, Beenie Man needs as much rest as possible for his recuperation, so under strict regulations, where he will not be allowed any visitors for now.
