JACKASS SEY DI worl no level. Jackass wan judge dung a country mussi naa nuh head, a gwaan like sey she no waan leggo de ooman whe inna prison fi nutten fram nineteen how lang.
There have been a few cases recently of persons with mental problems who have been dug out of the 'justice' system. The latest case was that of a woman who was in prison for 12 years without trial, but who has a mental condition.
Now, before we even get into the 'unlevelness' of the situation, lets put 12 years in some sort of perspective, because when you just say '12 years' it sounds very simple. The People's National Party has been in power in this country for a little over 12 years - and that seems like forever. There are children in first form at high school now who were not even born when the lady went to prison.
When marriages last 10 years it is considered a significant achievement; a 12 years old motor vehicle is considered almost ancient.
It goes on, but you get the drift. Twelve years from somebody's life is not to be taken lightly. Heck, one day of being imprisoned unfairly is long, much less 4,000 days.
So, after spending a longer time in prison than it probably took this judge woman from doing A'Level exams to sitting on the bench, this lady finally gets a day in court and expresses her displeasure with the injustice system by cursing a few in the courthouse.
Mental problem
And how does the judge respond? By musing that maybe the lady is not ready to be released.
Now is that not $$#@#%$%!!! bang, bang, crash crash,%$@#!!!! amazing? A person with a mental problem has been imprisoned without trial for 12 years of her life and the first thing the judge can think of when the person expresses frustration at the first chance to do so, is that the person's freedom needs to be stolen for a little bit longer.
The world is not level, on so many levels, is it? First of all, it is an intolerable shame that this person should have been locked up in the first place - heck, she does not even remember the offence that led to the run-in with the law. Then, there was no one to dig her out of the mess - yet when a deejay cuss a few bad word or a rich person gets caught with their hand in the till, the biggest name lawyer is there with them to ensure justice is done.
It seems justice is really blind, when it is dazzled by money.
Then there is the judge - a woman too - who is thinking of curtailing the woman's freedom. So, suppose this judge lady was held at a police spotcheck and tossed behind bars for a few hours, if the cops did not recognise her and felt like having a little fun? How would she respond when she got a chance to face the representative of the law that allowed her freedom to be taken?
Would she say, "I take strong objection to having had my freedom of movement curtailed in this unseemly fashion", or would she say "a wha de %%#!!!oonu tek big %%@#@!!@!%^^woman fah!!?"
Jackass is willing to bet on the latter.
Jackass sey di worl' no level. Jackass sey if de lady whe dey a prison fi 12 year fi nutten did bax a judge ar police smaddy, yu woulda haffi andastan. A woah.
