Dear Pastor,
I have been dating this man since December 2003. He has a job that would take him away for three months at a time. A few weeks before he left, he asked me not to see anyone else and I agreed. My issue is this. He never asked for my address to send me a letter or a card for Valentine's Day.
He did in fact call to wish me happy Valentine's Day. I told him how disappointed I was that he didn't think of sending me a card. Needless to say, he became very upset. I sent him a card to let him know I was thinking about him on that day.
I have never asked him for money. I am independent. I would hope if a man asked a woman to wait for him, he would at least give her a reason to, and keep the feelings going by doing little things. I can only pray he gets the message.
He was supposed to call the next day to get my address to send me a card, but he never did. This really upset me. I don't think I am being unreasonable. Do you?

Dear A.K.,
You seem to believe that this man should begin to roll out some money on you and that he is not showing enough interest. Both of you have become friends about three months. You may be pushing too much. Don't you think that you should be a little more subtle? Watch the situation for a while.
