Jumping to a rhythm
By DEPORTEE, STAR Writer David McLeggon does the 'Kangaroo'. - Carlington Wilmot ONE SMALL STEP for man One giant leap for kangaroo kind Leaping from the cool hills of Mandeville, Manchester, David McLeggon has assaulted the eyes with an incredulous new dance movement called the 'Kangaroo'. By no means a marsupial, this human kangaroo leaps and bounds with physics defying moves that leaves on-lookers in amazement. Flying through the air, body parallel with the earth's surface, this 'Chiney bumped' wunderkind flies head down using his bat-like sonar to navigate. What keeps him up? "It's all natural, been doing this for about two years," was his earnest reply. Possessing Kangaroo characteristics except for the powerful tail, it was no 'kangaroo court' as he bounded in and out of traffic oblivious of the cars. Man that was magic. Like a traffic policeman 'Clear the way, clear the way' he demands his runway, then he launches catapult like with his unbelievable show of skill. The crowd claps, he gets handshakes, back slaps and 'big ups'. A death defying dance some say which will never be copied.
The 'Kangaroo' dance
At twenty, McLeggon sees himself as a dancer and a deejay. With his pal Duckman, they have come up with a song called, ahh u guessed it 'Kangaroo'. And so with CD in hand, the Kangaroo one bounds away delirious in his now found fame.
