Lady Saw rocking at hard rock

Lady Saw

Lady Saw's career is now rocking away with the Hardrock Entertainment family. THE STAR has learnt that her local business will now be handled by Hardrock Entertainment, the entertainment entity which features Daville as its headliner.

Hardrock boss Ian Coke told THE STAR yesterday that he sealed a deal with Saw recently, and is looking forward to great things from the partnership.

"We have actually started working already. We only cemented things with her on the weekend," he stated. "We will be doing all bookings and management for her locally.

Asked why Lady Saw and why now, Coke explained that the liaison was perfect based on the stage of development of Hardrock Entertainment, and the personality of Lady Saw.

"She has some experiences we may need, and we have some experiences that she may need," he continued. "The relationship is good between us, she is a people person, like the Janet Jackson of Jamaica. When she works on a show we can expect a full and lively set. With her good things are always in the making and you have to always watch out for her."

He added that the deal also ties in with the direction of his company. "Hardrock is also widening the scope of our business. We will start doing bookings for the Finnesse models as well, and we are looking at the artiste Busy Signal. We are growing..."

Saw, who was busy with birthday celebrations yesterday confirmed the deal, and said she was just as elated.

"There is a nice little vibes between me and them right now, and we are discussing things," Lady Saw stated. "Ian is a good businessman and I like what we have been talking about so far...I am supposed to meet with him and Pat (Richardson) soon so we can work things out properly."

Saw, who is signed to VP Records in the Unites States, had her local management handled by Shocking Vibes. She told THE STAR that her contract with them had expired, so she had no legal tangles involved in working details out with Hardrock Entertainment.

"They (Shocking Vibes) are cool with me and everything," she continued. "If Beenie calls me up right now I am able to do things with them same way, but now I am looking at Hardrock. I like what I am hearing so far."
