Passa Passa... POPPING POOL PARTY

Passa Passa is like oxygen in the blood. It breathes and pumps a freshness that is at best uncanny and breathtaking.

On a Monday, I am waiting

Tuesday, I'm fading

And by Wednesday, I can't sleep

Then the phone rings, I hear you

And the darkness is a clear view

Cuz you've come to rescue me

Though not pretty like Ashlee Simpson, her song Pieces of Me rings resoundedly in one's ears.

Splish, splash here comes the pool party. Playing out the theme for the night portable pools splashed, dashed with scantily clad ladies taking dips in one of the four inflatable tubs that were laid out like crocodiles taking a sunbath. Taking a dip now and again and blow drying their way by dancing, it was a wet wining feast.

A trio of Dancehall Queen entrants 'mashed' the place with their stunts. Led by Latoya 'Chin' Spence, a dark-skinned chocolate from Windward Road, Kingston, whose cotton white dress did marvellous ripples over her firm body. Next was April a brown-eyed beauty from Savannah, Georgia, USA. Shyly through her southern accent she said she was here to perform at the Dancehall Queen competition. Angella rounded off the trio as she held up traffic with her seductive wines.

The night at the beach was fun as the fishermen had a wide variety of catch to choose from. There were Snapper, perch, sprat, lobster and crab. If one wanted bigger fish, whales and seals were very much in the offering. It was a fisher's delight watching mermaids strutting their stuff all around the pool party.

Bleaching is still in vogue (who said it went out of style) as about six lassies were seen with multi-coloured faces which changed colours like the rainbow when the morning sunlight hit them. What a pity

Spanish Town Road was transformed into a swan lake with quacking and screeching as the water was now treated as a weapon and 'water wars' began with people wet and dry getting a dousing. Night beach, though without sand proved to be a 'phat' grandstand. Further pressure was added when Stacy climbed atop a water truck and acrobatically 'skinned' out in positions that would make her mother cry. The hot bodies were cooled down by the cold cold water which cooled down the intensity that was a piston-pumping pool party.
