FORMER JAMAICA CHAMPION jockey Andrew Ramgeet kept up his steady winning form at Mountaineer Park Tuesday when he captured race three to secure his third win in the last four racedays.
Ramgeet added to wins he had Saturday and Sunday with a brilliant ride aboard the 7-5 favourite Mr Bad News in capturing the US$16,200 third race over six furlongs.
The three-time Jamaica champion jockey is currently fourth in the jockeys' standings with 19 wins, trailing leader Dana Whitney (29), Ossie Pereira (25) and Deshawn Parker (24).
Ramgeet rode patiently and saved ground on the turn as he stalked the leaders aboard Mr Bad News.
He entered the home stretch fourth between horses and finished rapidly to snatch victory by a nose over the front-running 38-1 outsider Wholetthishorseout.
On Sunday, Ramgeet had won the second race aboard 5-2 second favourite You Pay the Bill by a neck, coming from behind, in another rousing finish.
His win on Saturday came aboard the 3-5 favourite Here Comes Tee Pro in the first race, scoring a smart front-running win over Pereira's mount Burning Marque (8-1).
