Bugle and Tornado say it is their time

BUGLE AND TORNADO feel it is their time.

The two deejays, who have been juggling below the dancehall radar, say it is time for them to become recognised in the dancehall.

They have been around for quite a while, but they have not got the same prime time attention as the deejay they often hang around Elephant Man.

Bugle and 'Nado are old 'parring' partners of Elephant Man, and they say they have quietly penned tunes, or sections of some of Ele's tunes in the past. When Elephent Man made a BET appearance on the show 106 and Park, Bugle was there with him, and he says he appeared on MTV with Ele as well.

From Bugle's admission, music was his destiny. "At school yu done know that we were the student dem who play football, beat the benches and deejay for the girls dem," he says. "Those time, all we were doing was for the love of the music; we never interested inna fame or anything."

Early years

A few years ago, he did some production work with the then secular Papa San, before moving on to Big Ship Productions where he did a tune with Benjy Myaz.

Four years ago, he began associations with Ele, and managed to do the track called Judge Naa No Fear.

After linking seriously with Tornado however, the duo did Saddaring on Rennaissance's Tunda Clap' rhythm, after doing Bad Mind on the 'French Vanilla' rhythm.

Tornado gives a similar story to that of Bugle's. "From seven grade, mi start playing round with music. Music just been born inna we," he states. "Inna grade 10, I linked up with producer Shines and did the tune Reno on the Old Man rhythm. From that time, I decided to take it seriously."

Since working together on two tracks, the duo feels that they have what it takes to make it further. Their motivation comes from the love, and the prospect of recognition.

"We would like to get some awards in the future," explains Tornado. "It is not like we are doing this just for that; we just do it cause we love it, but we wouldn't mind seeing some of that success."
