JAMAICA'S OLYMPIC 200 metres champion Veronica Campbell will be among the athletes competing at tonight's Norwich Union Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham, England.
Campbell goes into the 200 metres aiming for her 25th consecutive victory, an unbeaten run stretching back five years.
Her 7.09 seconds in the 60 metres at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas last weekend shows the 22-year-old is already in sharp shape.
However, she will be hard pressed by USA's Muna Lee who ran 22.99 in Boston.
Campbell's team-mate Tanya Lawrence, who captured the bronze medal in the 100 metres at the Sydney Olympics, will start in the 60 metres.
St Kitts and Nevis' World sprint champion Kim Collins says he is ready for the challenge of facing top quality competition at the meet.
Collins, who finished sixth in the 100 metres in Athens, will once more have to deal with two of the men who beat him to the line in that event there, Portugal's silver medal winner Francis Obikwelu and American world Indoor record holder Maurice Greene, the bronze medal captor.
Despite the strength and depth of the field, which also includes Britain's World Indoor 60-metres champion Jason Gardener, Collins believes he has what it takes to do well.
"It's always good to race the best and on Friday it is the best in the world and I'm looking forward to competing against such a strong field," Collins, who is coached by legendary Jamaican coach Glen Mills, said.
