Members of the all female sound system Chemical X strike a pose at Dicimal, held at Peppers Night Club on Waterloo Road. - Carlington Wilmot
THE POINT WAS missing from Decimal, staged last Saturday at Peppers' Nightclub, Upper Waterloo Road.
It is difficult to stage a successful party without the patrons and even some minutes after 1:30 a.m. there were only a few in the venue.
At this time the promoters must have been hoping to experience a greater 'Decimal Value', in terms of patrons' turnout, but this was not to happen.
Even when The STAR team left at some minutes after 2 a.m., there were still only a small number of patrons in the venue.Earlier there was some credible spinning by members of the Supa Hype family, who worked with Kurt 'The Party Animal' Riley.
Initially, they worked well together behind the turntables, and seemed to be enjoying themselves and reaching out to some of the few patrons present. However, as the night dragged on the musical selections also fizzled.
Prior to their stint behind the turntable, the all-female selecting team Chemical X, played a quick but credible set.
The party could have better adhered to the title: Small fraction the few people party.
