NUMBER FOUR SEED, Kingston College (KC), last night defeated St. Catherine High School 35-23, in the penultimate match in round three of TVJ's Schools' Challenge Quiz 2005 competition.
The coach of the winning team, Mr. Valmore Stewart said, "They need to work on the buzzer section. The other sections were good sections, but they need to work on their buzzer section. We will continue to do what we have been doing so far, because it has yielded results."
Set the pace
In round one, KC set the pace and led 11-5. Section two ended 29-19, and in the final section 35-23, after KC lost four points.
St. Catherine High's coach, Mr. Errol Martin, was less enraged this time around, than in previous matches. He said, "KC was better prepared than we were. It would be unfair to be upset."
St. Catherine's captain, Donald Smith, said, "I think we could have won the match. It wasn't the lack of information. KC played well, and I hope their next match will be a competitive one."
The members of the Kingston College team: Jeffery Foreman, (captain), Dusean Harriott, Andre Williams and Omar Dakers.
The members of the St. Catherine: Donald Smith (captain), Phoebe Leslie, Sean Lewis and Nicholas Burrell.
