Hard for me to trust him

Dear Pastor,

I have a boyfriend whom I have known for about a year, but we have been dating for about six weeks now.

The problem is I don't believe anything he tells me. He is very nice to me and gives me a rose every week.

Whenever I ask him to do something, he always does it. He has asked me to believe what he is telling me. It is hard for me to do so. I had a very bad past with men.

What should I do, Pastor?

Dear A.J.,

Your experience of the past is affecting you. Continue to be a friend to this man. Get to know him well. Don't allow him to have his way with you. Find out about his background. Check him out carefully.

Remember that some men are good liars. Too many girls hurry to bed with men and later regret doing so after discovering that the men were lying.

If you do the things I suggest, you may save yourself from heartaches.
