Photographer's final comments

WELL THANK THE Lord we were partially speared once again from another disaster. Lots of people, especially those living near rivers, have lost their homes and for that I'm sorry. But can building your home against a river or in any other dangerous place be a wise move?

Hey, all I'm saying is that we should stop playing the blame game folks. Come on! We've been doing this too long. As one Rastafarian said when I asked why he built his house next to a river: "Govament ah sell Jah lan' wey free so mi haffi bill yaso," but is this really any excuse?

We need to stop being dependent on Goverment to give hand outs at the end of each disaster to those of us who have been really careless and take our own destiny in hand. Maybe next time it won't be just a few houses that are lost in the rivers.
