Mr. Mikey promoting single

Bermudan artiste, Mr. Mikey, who is in Jamaica to promote a single. - ricardo makyn

BERMUDAN producer/singer Michael George Lavell, a.k.a. Mr. Mikey, was in Jamaica recently to promote his single It's Over in the Jamaican dancehall marketplace. The single is already a mega-hit in the tiny island of Bermuda.

"I have been here meeting people in the music industry, building up a network of engineers, producers and artistes for my future projects. I am really pleased with the positive response I am getting to the single, and the help I got from Bongo Herman, Dr. Marshall and Fatta from Anchor, who helped me to spice up the music a little more and get that authentic Jamaican feel," Mikey said.

He is also the owner of the Madd Zulu label which manages the careers of singjay 'Allergy', and singer Tina 'Tahtia' Smith. The single was originally mixed in Bermuda by engineer Dwight Jones. Lavell has scored major hits in Bermuda such as Big Shallonga and Hot Gal Party which were number one songs on the reggae charts in that country.
