SHEER ELEGANCE, THE one-stop bridal shop in St. Andrew, brought their offerings to prospective customers in a beautiful bridal showcase at the Knutsford Court Hotel on Sunday night.
With wedding gowns for brides, dresses for maids and flower girls, tuxedos and suits for grooms, best men and ring-bearers, those who were in the midst of wedding planning were given several options to take for their big day.
But bridal wear was not the only thing on display as MC Dervan Malcolm was quick to point out. To the grooms-to-be, Malcolm gave this bit of advice: "If you and your wife have an argument, let her go her way and you go hers."
Advice also came from a couple who were celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary that very night. The couple, Mr. and Mrs. Menzie, told the gathering "to put God first and always have open communication".
Then, there were the giveaways. Malcolm invited couples on stage to recite self-written vows to each other. He challenged men to wear and walk in ladies' heels (two men tried and even danced in the heels) and one young woman sang to him and won a toaster.
Needless to say, those who were in the planning stage of their weddings had things a little easier.
