By RASBERT TURNER, Star Writer

SPANISH TOWN

A 15-YEAR-OLD juvenile from Big Lane, Central Village, St. Catherine, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court yesterday on firearm charges.

Investigating officer, Corporal Patrick Munroe of the Central Village Police Station, outlined in court that on Thursday, July 21, the police went on an operation in the Big Lane area when they spotted the juvenile behaving in a suspicious manner. He was stopped and searched. During the search, a .38 Taurus revolver loaded with six live rounds of .38 cartridges was taken from his waistband. He was subsequently charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

When he appeared in the Spanish Town RM court, he pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody until August 16 when he is scheduled to reappear.
