Free advice

DEAR PASTOR,

I am responding to the article "NOTHING IS FOR FREE"

Following up on your answer, there are a large number of students who have got financial aid and have not repaid the loans or even made an effort to return to their country and contribute their services. There are also the ones who cannot get employment as yet to repay the loans.

Dear Misinformed, I have adopted a student and I am paying the tuition for that student in Jamaica and I would suggest you do the same and stop depending and blaming the government. Blessings!

A.M., New York

Dear A.M.

Thank you for your contribution. Some students behave as if the government owes them tertiary education. They fail to understand that they ought to help themselves and that nothing good comes easily.

Pastor

The government may facilitate loans but it may not be in a position to grant free education to the tertiary level.

It is indeed very sad that there are some graduates who have brought shame and disgrace upon themselves by not repaying their loans. I am happy that you are assisting a student. May God bless you for doing so.
