DAMBULLA, SRI LANKA, CMC
WITHOUT A WIN to their credit in the tri-nations series to date, the West Indies will face no respite from Sri Lanka when the two teams meet in the next fixture tomorrow - 3:30 a.m. Saturday local time.
The weakened Windies have been beaten soundly in their two matches and though they can still reach the final with wins in their two final games, Sri Lankan captain Marvan Atapattu says there will be no let up from his team.
Sri Lanka have already qualified for the final of the tri-nations series on August 9.
"There's going to be no complacency now that we have entered the final," Atapattu said.
"There are areas we need to work on, we have not all been 100 per cent in one game."
Windies struggled
West Indies have struggled in the tournament losing to India by six wickets in their first game and to Sri Lanka by 50 runs in the second match.
While their bowling has been impressive, West Indies have been let down by lacklustre batting, scoring just 178 and 191 in their two innings.
They face Sri Lanka on Saturday in a do-or-die encounter and round out their campaign against India on Sunday.
