Mob hacks alleged killer

western bureau

AN ANGRY MOB in Grange Hill, Westmoreland, on Tuesday hunted and chopped to death a 21-year-old man, accused of fatally stabbing a teenager at a party in the area on Monday night.

The mob victim has been identified as Jermaine 'Otto' Brown of Race Course in Grange Hill.

The mob killing is the fifth committed in the parish since the start of this year.

The police have not been able to make any arrests in connection with the killings.

Brown was accused of stabbing 15-year-old Richard Miller, a student of Crowder district in Grange Hill.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) are that Miller was at a party in Crowder about 11 p.m. on Monday when a man stabbed him with a knife.

He was taken to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Morgan's Bridge C.I.B. said they were seeking Brown for questioning in relation to Miller's murder. The following morning, the lawmen received a report that at 7:45 a.m. citizens set upon Brown and hacked him to death.
