The Stewart twins - contributed
WALDERSTON
FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD twins, Garrett and Geron Stewart, although sharing a striking physical resemblance, share different personalities, as THE WEEKEND STAR found out during a visit to their home recently.
Garrett is more open and social than his brother, who is very laid-back and prefers to keep quiet and do less talking.
The two, Grade 6 students of Mizpah All Age School, near Walderston, Manchester, were born one hour apart on May 5, 1991 to Christine McNally at Contrivance district in the parish.
"Dem don't know dem father, I hear that him somewhere in America," said their grandmother Isolyn McNally, who takes care of the twins while their mother resides in Kingston.
No trouble
She continued "Dem don't give me any trouble, but dem give mi a lot of jokes sometimes and if dem want to fight, and I speak to dem, quick, quick them 'gree (agree) back."
"Wi nuh fight sir," said Garrett, the older twin and the more talkative of the two, who displays a higher level of cognisance than his subdued sibling. Geron, however, was the first to grin broadly and grab at a reward volunteered by THE WEEKEND STAR.
They are not the only twins in their family, as their grand-uncle and aunt are also twins.
The twins say they have not yet decided what career they would pursue when they grow up.
An effort made to contact their form teacher for a comment was unsuccessful.
