Mavis Schroeder - file
MAVIS SCHROEDER, 75, has been missing for over a week and her family doesn't know where to start looking.
According to her grandniece, Kezzian Simms, she left her house in Standpipe, Liguanea, St. Andrew, after she received a phone call. "She said she was leaving to go Dillsbury Avenue in the Barbican area, to meet a lady who said she could show her where she could collect free pampers for her husband and that was the last we saw of her."
Simms explained that Schroeder was taking care of her husband who was senile. "So that is why I know she wouldn't just get up and leave like that and just not come back. She doesn't have any children and only one sister so she wouldn't be anywhere else but home."
When she did not return home, a report was made to the police. At the time Schroeder went missing, she was wearing a blue dress and a pair of black slippers.
Anyone knowing her where-abouts is being asked to contact the Matilda's Corner police at 978-6003, 119, or the nearest police station.
