THE MATILDA'S CORNER Police have been busy in the past few months trying to curtail a series of car break-ins plaguing the Mona and Hope Road areas in St. Andrew.
 
Beaten for break up?
"I ENDED OUR relationship and he did not want that," was the reason given by a woman who was allegedly publicly beaten by her baby's father. The case was called on Wednesday in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate court.

SUPPORTERS OF MARK 'Buju Banton' Myrie disrupted traffic along Maxfield Avenue, St. Andrew, yesterday after they surrounded the DJ as he made his way from the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court where his $50,000 bail was extended .

A MAN WHO attempted to export 12.27 kilograms (27 lbs) of ganja to another Caribbean island will have to spend two years in prison and pay almost $400,000 worth of fines.

Man fined for stealing rum
A 26-YEAR-OLD Portmore man opened his mouth wide when he was fined $15,000 or six months imprisonment for larceny. He is Raga Fearon of Portsmouth.
 
Larceny case against four to continue
THE LARCENY CASE against four Portmore residents will continue in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on October 9.
 
Portmore roads to be improved
SEVERAL ROADS IN Portmore will be upgraded at a cost of $30 million under the Road Improvement Programme.
