THE FINAL ROUND of the Track Price Plus Nine-A-Side Elite Skittles Competition takes place today at Track Price Club Skittles Club, 61a Molynes Road with three matches scheduled.
In the first encounter at 2:30 p.m., Galaxy oppose Waltham Strikers in a match of academic interest only, and this will be followed by the feature Zone 'A' match between Eastern All-Stars and Dragon in their 'battle of the east' match-up. This match will determine which of the two teams accompanies Cherry's Strikers from the zone to the semi-final round.
Portmore-based Meadowvale, out of contention at this stage, are also scheduled to meet Cherry's Strikers today, but this match is unlikely to be played with nothing at stake in the last of the preliminary round.
Track Price Plus beat Waltham Strikers 6-3 last Sunday to top their zone and will accompany the runners-up, Rowe's Strikers, to the semis. Track Price defeated Rowe's a fortnight ago, while last Sunday, Rowe's lost for the second straight week going under 6-3 to Galaxy in a notable upset.
The semis will be played on Sunday, November 20 at a venue to be announced.
