FIRE, SAID TO be of unknown origin, has left 10 persons homeless and caused about $2.5 million in damages in Frasers Content, St. Catherine on Monday.

Reports say that about 12:30 p.m., a board dwelling in the district caught fire which quickly spread to other nearby board dwellings totally engulfing all of them.

A Toyota motor car that was parked in one of the yards was also destroyed by the fire.

STILL IN SHOCK

A unit from the Spanish Town Fire Brigade responded to the fire and put out the blaze.

Wendy Perkins, an occupant of one of the houses, said she was still in shock. "I was at the university where I went for an interview. Upon my return, I realised that my house burnt down and me lose everything."

She said she lost her bed, computer, her car, a deep freeze and a television.

Perkins said other persons lost money, house belongings and documents. The houses were not insured.
