MAKYN THE NEWS... In Ewarton, St. Catherine

LEFT: This member of the General Order dance crew does a gravity defying move. RIGHT: Dub poet Culture Frick belting out one of his pieces.

HOW DO I begin? Do I start by telling you about this very hilarious young man named Lloyd 'Madhouse' Spence or the extraordinary dancing skills of members of the General Order dance crew in Cotton Piece, Ewarton?

Well, I've done both. Everytime I venture out I am just surprised by all these things I see and hear, like Culture Frick, a Dub poet who belted out his rhymes or these gravity defying young men who twist their bodies in all directions

I was most impressed with 'Madhouse', who is in charge of the dance crew. He also has a sound system named Schoolboy International, which he built from scratch. His home-made vehicle he calls his "2006 Hummer", is used to transport the sound system to the community square, where they entertain the public on a Friday.
