DEAR PASTOR,
I am a 22-year-old female and I live in the United States of America. I am almost finished with college and I don't know what to do from here. My boyfriend lives in another State that is far away from me. We have talked about moving in together, but he doesn't want to move. He wants me to move where he is.
Everytime I mention that I will move down there, he doesn't want to talk about it. He is living with his sister and he is not making any plans to move and get his own place.
I got a job offer in New York and I am wondering what I should do.
J.D., Oregon, USA.
Dear J.D.,
I suggest that you plan life on your own without this man. I would not encourage you to shack up with this man.
In any case, he is not eager for you to come to live where he is. Have you considered that he may have a girlfriend in that area? You have observed that he becomes very silent when you talk about moving to where he is.
He has his reasons. Perhaps, he is not sure that he wants to marry you. So, my darling, I repeat, plan your life on your own and in your planning, don't even consider him.
Pastor
