No treated water in Dias and Cacoon

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I was in the parish of Hanover in September, and encountered a dismal situation with the water distribution. The Dias and Cacoon areas of the parish were without running water and some folks had to take taxis to as far as Lucea in order to get treated proportions of this precious liquid.

My challenge for the National Water Commission is: Do you expect people of Dias and Cacoon to go to rivers and streams to get water in these modern times? If yes, wake up.

I think the residents in these areas need to be told whether the water pumping system in Blenheim cannot supply them adequately anymore.

I am, etc.,

ALLAN MARTIN
