Big win for Sunshine Girls

JAMAICA, AIMING FOR their sixth hold on the title, cruised to an emphatic 37-6 win over Dominica in their win over Dominica at the Caribbean Netball Association (CNA) Jean Pierre Under-16 tournament on Monday evening.

The junior 'Sunshine Girls' led the quarters 10-2, 16-4, and 27-4 en route to their lopsided 31-goal triumph.

Coach Oberon Pitterson used the opportunity to shift around players, resulting in four names getting on the Jamaican score sheet: Christina Solomon (17/19), Danielle Ellis (14/24), Kerisa Kessna (4/5) and Vanessa Walker (2/6).

Barbados rushed to their third consecutive win topping the hosts St. Kitts 31-25 to remain top of the standings.

Results:

Jamaica beat Dominica 37-6 (halftime 16-4); St Vincent & the Grenadines beat Grenada 23-18 (11-7); Barbados beat St Kitts 31-25 (17-12).
