THE ST. JAMES police are trying to decipher the motive for Wednesday's shooting of two persons at a bar on Market Street in Montego Bay.
Reports say about 7 p.m., an employee at the popular bar went to the storeroom, and was accosted by a gunman who fired a barrage of bullets indiscriminately, hitting the worker in the upper body, and a patron in his right leg.
Both men were taken to hospital and were reported to be in stable condition up to press time. Ten 9 mm spent shells were found at the scene.
Police have not established a motive for the shooting. They suspect the armed man gained access to the storeroom through a back entrance.
