A THIRD TRIAL date was set in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court for evidence to be heard in the case of a 40-year-old St. James man accused of indecently assaulting his 11-year-old daughter.
The trial stalled on Tuesday as the witnesses were not present. The new date was set for February 2.
The allegations are that on June 12 this year, the man tried to have sexual intercourse with the girl and told her not to mention it to anyone. Following the incident, she ran out of the house to escape her father.
The child is now living with an older sister in the same area who, the court was told, also ran away from the home in order to escape her father's inappropriate advances.
