Cops probe link in men's murders

THE KINGSTON WESTERN police are probing the murder of two men in Torrington Park, who were killed minutes apart on Tuesday night.

Dead are Kirk McPherson, 28, unemployed, from Portmore, St. Catherine and Donovan Gray, 16, from Torrington Park.

Police report that at 11:00 p.m. McPherson was at the entrance to Torrington Park when residents heard several gunshots. Shortly after McPherson was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) where he was pronounced dead.

DOOR KICKED OPEN

At 11:35 p.m. a group of gunmen, on foot, went to the home of Gray, where they kicked open the door and fired several shots. One caught Gray in the left upper side of chest. He was taken to the KPH where he was also pronounced dead.

The police say there may be a connection between the murders. However, they are continuing their investigations. In addition police say McPherson was wanted for crimes in the division.
