Alleged wanted man injured by police

A MAN, SAID to be wanted by the Mocho police in Clarendon, was shot and injured when police went to arrest him on Tuesday night.

The Mocho police reportedly went in search of Oneil Thomas, the alleged wanted man, who reportedly fired at them.

The police returned the fire and Thomas was shot in his right hand. He was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was treated.

Thomas, also known as 'Foote', unemployed of Belmonte, Mocho, is allegedly wanted for several crimes in the community, including shooting with intent, wounding with intent, unlawful possession of a firearm and assault at common law.
