Meet the in-law

Dear Pastor,

I am an 18-years-old young lady and I'm attending a tertiary school.

The problem is that I have this boyfriend who doesn't know what he really wants. We have been together from last November and nothing has changed. My mom says that she wants to meet him, but he refuses. Every time he's to meet with her, he says that he has a cricket match. I've fallen in love with him and I'm afraid to lose him. I find it hard to let go!

Please tell me what to do?

L.C., St. Andrew, Jamaica

Dear L.C.,

If you don't let this guy go, you will get hurt. He is not interested in your mother because he does not know what to say to her when he meets her. Perhaps he is just playing around with you for sexual gratification.

He has no intention of settling down with you. That is why he is making foolish excuses. Walk away from him. If you don't, you would wet your pillow with many tears.

Pastor
