Davis eyes Premiership

Claude Davis - FILE

london cmc:

JAMAICAN INTERNATIONAl Claude Davis says he believes his Preston North End can reach the English top flight next season.

Preston lie sixth in the Championship standings and are in contention for a play-off spot, if they do not qualify automatically.

They qualified for the play offs last season when they finished fifth in the standings but were beaten 1-0 by West Ham in the final to miss out on the Premiership.

"I hope this time there are no mistakes because I need a shot in the Premiership and I want to get there with Preston," Davies said.

"It would be an honour for me to play against some of the best players in the world because I would love to have a go against them to show everyone what I'm capable of."

He added: "It's my dream to play in the Premiership so that is my big chance to go up against them and I'm looking forward to it."
