John Hype fined $200 for Ganja
POPULAR DANCER, JOHNATHAN Prendergast, more commonly known as John Hype, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday to face charges of possession of ganja. The facts of the case are that on January 5 at about 6 p.m., the police were carrying out an operation along Parry Road, when they stopped and searched Prendergast's dark green Toyota Camry motor car. A transparent plastic bag containing marijuana, weighing 2 ounces was found in the arm rest of the car. He was subsequently arrested and charged. When he appeared before RM Martin Gayle, he was fined $200 or 10 days in prison. No conviction was recorded.
