Teams ready for pool clash

PLAYERS FROM PORTMORE and parts of the Corporate Area will be in action this afternoon when they contest the Bejon's Sports Bar eight-ball singles KO pool tournament at 111b Molynes Road, Hughenden Plaza, starting at 3:00 p.m.

The winner will take home $25,000 and a trophy, second $8,500, third $4,500 and fourth $2.500. Entry fee is $1,000 per player, while re-entry fee is $1,200.

The tournament is expected to attract some of the best players in the island, including Calhoun Melville who won the last major tournament, the runner-up Albert Chung, top-rated Roy Letts along with Joe McLeod, Brian Gold, Ewart Hall and Portmore's own Sunil Kissundal.

The next big tournament will be held on February 25 and 26 at Hot Shot, 103 Constant Spring Road.
