THE MINISTRY OF Health in collaboration with the Jam-dammers Running Club will stage a 5K Run on Sunday in the inner-city community of Trench Town.

Alfred 'Frano' Francis, race director, said entries have been received from as far as Japan.
"So far entries have been received from Japan. A group of Japanese will be here," he said.
"The meet has attracted a lot of people ... a lot of non-mainstream runners also," he added.
Francis, said the race, organised by the Ministry of Health, the Violence Prevention Alliance, and the Jamdammers Running Club of Kingston, coincides with Bob Marley's birthday, February 6.
SOCIAL BENEFIT
"To run a race in this community has significant social benefit for the interaction with people from outside and inside the community," he said.
"A significant breakthrough was made last year, and people who participated were apprehensive. This year we are very ecstatic about their participation," Francis added.
There will be no entry fee and apart from the big guns, participants in the masters, schools and community sections can look forward to prizes.
Starting at the Spanish Town Road-Collie Smith Drive intersection, the race will proceed along Spanish Town Road, Maxfield Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, New Lincoln Road, Lyndhurst Road, Greenwich Park Road, Collie Smith Drive and finish at Bob Marley's Culture Yard on First Street.
