Recording artistes Twin of Twins. - IAN ALLEN
TWIN OF TWINS have had some memorable twin moments, that only twins can experience.
Patrick (Curly Locks) and Paul (Tu Locks) Gaynor have grown up so closely, biologically and socially, that they sometimes have moments that can be described as telepathic.
"We grow (up) so close that sometimes we deh inna a crowd or we deh someweh and him look on me and know seh me ready. We jus have a vibes weh we know exactly wah each other a think," said Paul.
Sometimes, their twin moments coincide and they think and say the same things, the same way, in the exact same words at the exact same time. As youngsters, Patrick and Paul have even gone through twin moments with girls.
"We used to switch up sometimes with some girls, but that was when we were young. Dem time deh you new to girls. Now we out grow dem tings, we're a lot more mature now because we are adults," said Patrick.
The girls weren't the only ones who had difficulty knowing them differently. At the very early stages of their lives, their father also had problems identifying one from the other.
"Our father used to have problems telling us apart until our late teens, then he started to catch on. There was no real confusion, but sometimes he would mix us up," said Patrick. However, there was some amount of confusion at New Providence Primary School.
"In primary school Paul went into a classroom and gave some trouble. The whol a di man teacher dem start run him down now and him run past me. Me nuh know wah a gwaan so me stand up and dem come and grab me, thinking that I was Paul. I get a piece a beating that day. When dem finally find out what happen now, a nuff worries," said Patrick.
