V.I.Picks - Rodney picks Gong

Rodney Davis, president of CWJ, at his CWJ head office on Carlton Crescent. - WINSTON SILL

V.I.Picks is your new STAR feature, where we get to know the songs, artistes, flicks, and anything related to entertainment that Jamaica's Very Important People [VIPs] just love and why.

Today's V.I.Picks come from Rodney Davis, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cable and Wireless, Jamaica (CWJ).

Mr. Davis' top four songs are:

1. Welcome to Jamrock Damian Marley.

2. How Come - Morgan Heritage.

3. True Reflections Jah Cure.

4. Serious Times Gyptian.

Some other artistes whom the C&W CEO might be seen bouncing to are: Elephant Man, Rihanna and Beenie Man.

Mr. Davis' top four songs though are a reflection of what might be called his 'vibe'.

"I have different moods and different types of music match my moods at different times. The songs that I have chosen match my moods more often than not," said Davis.

And when it comes to his musical taste most of the time it is really about what he is hearing and not who is performing.

"I listen to music, the artistes come after the music. So these artistes may not be my favourite artistes, but some of the songs they sing match some of my moods," said the Cable and Wireless President.
