Entertainer remanded for assaulting DJ

BY SACHA WALTERS, Staff Reporter

A PERFORMER HAD three of his fingers partially severed after a fellow artiste allegedly chopped him with a machete during an altercation.

Rohan Watson, 34, otherwise known as 'Rupee', appeared in court on March 15 to answer to charges of felonious wounding.

It is alleged that Watson, of Phase 1, Seaview Gardens, Kingston 11, and Kevin Morris, also known as 'DJ Killer', were at a party when the two men got into an altercation. The court heard that Watson went for his machete and chased Morris, eventually catching him and chopping him on his left hand.

The complainant is currently in hospital and Watson was remanded until today to give the complainant the opportunity to come to court.
